Stories to be told
Gategalleriet is proud to annouce “Stories to be told” – a solo exhibition with Anna Louise Andersen
Anna is inspired by street art, pop art and modern art and her work involves many different mediums including acrylics and oils. She works out of her studio in Hamar, Norway and Sunne, Sweden. Although not a street or urban artist Anna has exhibited works at several occasions at urban art exhibitions in UK and built a good repurtation amongst its visitors. Anna’s work has been acquired by private collections all over Europe and Asia. This is her first solo exhibition and Gategalleriet is exited to present her to a new audience.
“Stories to be told” features women in different ages with different stories. Some are strong, some are weak, some have an attitude but all have their own story to tell. Anna experiments with different styles and materials to create variation in expressions to tell the stories.
“The exhibition revolves around man, in motif – and in theme. At first glance, the painted figures may look “simple” at first, but often with a deeper message, be it humor or seriousness. The path between the past, present and future at the same time appears gathered in this exhibition”
– Anna Louise Andersen
